Archie, the Elf Our Little Holiday Helper

Every December ushers in a tiny bit of holiday magic: Archie (Archer’s resident elf) and friends show up for a stay at Archer Hotel.

Archie and the other elves are quite unobtrusive. They don’t make a fuss — no entourage in tow. But they are a playful bunch that love to subtly interact with other hotel guests.

Get to know Archie and some of the holiday elfin antics that take place during a December stay with us.

As soon as Archie and friends arrive, they get busy hiding. And what fun they have! The other elves are excellent at hide-and-seek, but Archie likes to up the ante a bit. Guests sometimes find Archie in plain sight, shyly greeting guests upon arrival. Other times, the mischievous elf is harder to spot. But Archie’s always around, secretly (we think) hoping to be found.

Archer’s hosts have incorporated the elfin shenanigans into the guest experience with a contest of sorts: The Elfie Selfie. Every day (December 1 - 24), Archie hides somewhere on the first floor of the hotel. Archer’s hosts encourage guests who find Archie to snap a photo of Archie’s hiding spot before bringing the little one to the front desk.

They can then choose a gift:

• A toy or pair of little slippers from the Kid in Archer gift box (prizes vary at each hotel)
• A select item from the curated shop, such as a deck of playing cards, small candle, bag of caramels, children’s book or Archer’s eye mask
• Mini bar alcohol and mini bar snacks (for kiddos 21+ years old)

On December 24, Archie and friends all gather ’round for a group photo with their hotel buddies, the Archer Hotel team.

And then — they’re off. They fly back home to the North Pole to help Santa with last-minute duties, then rest up and plan for the next year’s holiday hideaway spots.
