Made with Fredericksburg’s famous juicy peaches, bourbon, brandy, honey, chili flakes and more, Second Bar + Kitchen’s peach BBQ sauce is a tasty addition to any summer backyard BBQ. Whether it’s served as a dip for veggies and wings, used as a basting sauce marinade for grilled chicken and ribs, the peach BBQ sauce adds its own Texas heat and sweet notes to any dish.

Ingredients
- 2 medium yellow onions, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 3 tablespoons brandy
- 3 peaches, pitted and diced (we suggest using local peaches)
- 1 28oz. can of whole tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon chili flake
- Salt to taste
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, caramelize onions.

Add garlic to the saucepan, and sweat the garlic with caramelized onions.

Deglaze the pan with bourbon and brandy.

Add in peaches, whole tomatoes, honey, cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, molasses, black pepper, chili powder and chili flakes.

Cook on very low heat for 3 hours, stirring often to not scorch the bottom of the pot.

Puree with a blender.

Chill completely.

Taste and season with salt.
