A Domain NORTHSIDE dream

When we first started looking for wedding venues, we knew we wanted something elevated and accessible — somewhere that felt luxurious but still personal and, of course, we needed space for all 150 of our guests to celebrate in style (and ideally not have to rent a car). Archer Austin, nestled in the heart of Domain NORTHSIDE, was the perfect fit.

The hotel had the boutique charm we were looking for — a modern Texas feel that never veered into generic. And for our guests? Easy parking, walkable shopping and dining, and that quintessential Austin energy right outside the front door.

All in One and thoughtfully Done

From the moment we booked, Anja — our amazing coordinator — worked hand in hand with our planner to make sure no detail was missed. Hosting both the ceremony and reception onsite kept things seamless for our guests and the team absolutely nailed the room flip between cocktail hour and dinner (in under 45 minutes!).

The hosts at Archer also helped us coordinate room blocks and grouped family members by floor, making pre-wedding prep smooth and stress-free. Welcome gifts were delivered to guest rooms, a larger space was secured for brunch when our guest count unexpectedly grew and the hotel even provided little touches like tall director’s chairs and floor-length mirrors for getting ready.

At the end of the night, AKB — the hotel’s lively bar — stayed open late so our guests could linger just a little longer. And when we finally returned to our suite, there was a handwritten note, champagne and a sweet treat waiting for us. The perfect nightcap to an already magical day.

A Menu to remember

Wedding food can be a gamble — but not here. Archer’s hosts catered for over 150 guests and the compliments we received still haven’t stopped. The fish was flaky, the beef tender, and every guest — vegetarian, food allergy or otherwise — was thoughtfully accommodated. Even the hors d'oeuvres got rave reviews.

Sunday’s farewell brunch was just as well-received, with the same attention to detail and deliciousness across the board. It truly felt like an extension of the celebration, not an afterthought.

Favorite Moment? Hard to choose

There were so many: Our vows. That first step into the Grand Salon filled with loved ones. Mingling on the patio during cocktail hour. And a grand, joy-filled exit down Archer’s dramatic spiral staircase — a cinematic ending to a day we’ll never forget.
