A Cocktail Napkin
Sometimes cocktail napkins are just napkins. And sometimes napkins are condensation-ringed, serendipitous callings from the cosmic unknown — inviting you to take inventory of your complicated, wonderful day. Archer knows the magic in all of it. So, as a muse to those moments, we invited our talented bar teams to create 12 Months of Cocktails inspired by our beloved napkin series.
The Recipe
In homage to the limitless wonders of the universe, a talented bar maestro at Archer Hotel Austin, crafted Cosmic Wonder — a stunning cocktail reflecting the cosmic palette in vivid shades of blue, purple, pink and orange. Its moniker draws inspiration from an intriguing Archer cocktail napkin. As for the floral garnish? Undeniably beautiful, it serves as a beacon, hinting at discoveries that await.
Ingredients
1 1/4 ounce Mezcal Union Joven
¾ ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
¾ ounce turmeric cinnamon syrup
½ ounce lime juice
1 ounce carrot ginger juice
1 ounce Fever Tree tonic
Directions
Pour tonic water into a collins glass and top with crushed ice. In a shaker, combine the mezcal, elderflower liqueur, turmeric syrup and lime juice. Shake generously for 15 seconds and double strain over crushed ice — topping with more crushed ice if needed. Using a bar spoon, gently sink the carrot ginger juice over the crushed ice so it creates a gradual infusion effect. Garnish with an edible flower.
