Girlfriend Getaways The 50s Itinerary

Gather your gal pals. With Archer Hotel Austin’s Girlfriend Getaways, you can get out with the girls for footloose, fancy-free, hair-blowing-in-the-wind, making-your-own-fun kind of good times.

The 50s are a metamorphic-like force, and so are you. It’s a time of knowing your superpowers and your limitations — alternating day drinks with water, for one. It’s a new vantage point for the wild and wonderful places you have yet to go and the freedom and insistence to be true to your best self.

There is a fun and valuable perspective that arrives with more time on the planet. Experience it. Celebrate it. Share it!

Choose your adventure, ladies.

We’ve done some of the legwork for you, putting it all within easy reach of Archer Hotel Austin.

Find your perfect coffee or handcrafted tea at Starbucks, and pair it with a savory breakfast sandwich, egg bites or pastry. Its protein boxes and bowls offer a minimum of 20 grams of protein each, and the cool yogurt options hit the spot no matter what time the clock says. An added bonus: Starbucks ethically sources its sustainable products and actively works to reduce its environmental impact.

At AKB, vibrant morning cuisine is delivered tableside or, better yet, in-room for an indulgent breakfast in bed. Breakfast favorites include the Texas Waffle and the Croque Madame, along with a steaming cappuccino.

Plank Seafood Provisions

Discover your sea legs at this coastal-inspired oyster bar and restaurant. Start with a refreshing Sea Foam Margarita and sample sustainably sourced oysters and seafood. Your girlfriend getaway isn’t complete without a chance to roll up your sleeves and dig in — properly — to a magnificent seafood tower.

North Italia

A pitcher of red sangria and a shareable chef’s board, handmade pastas and pizzas, a seasonal vegetable salad and a salted caramel budino with friends? But of course. Lunch, dinner, happy hour, brunch — a fabulous Italian meal is “sempre una buona decisione.”

Joi Asian Bistro

The Southeastern Asian street cuisine at Joi includes approachable ramen, chicken and katsu dishes that satisfy brunch and dinner diners. The diverse sushi menu includes an array of global fish selections, while the specialty cocktails and sake make lingering easy (especially on the shaded patio).

Nothing like $3 mimosas and Bellinis to start the day on a celebratory note. With Northern Italian, farm-to-table breakfasts, this inviting patio restaurant is likened to tavernas in Italy known for treating customers more like friends and family. Try the risotto con burrata — delish.

Treat yourself

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille

Ladies, get ready to treat yourselves. Perry’s serves award-winning steaks, chops and seafood with customized additions (think java-crusted steak or miso butter for your tempura-fried lobster tail) and exceptional service. Prefer a lighter treat? Stop in at its Bar 79 for small-yet-savory bar bites and a cool beverage.

Jose Luis Salon

Recognized as one of the top salons in the U.S., this modern salon brings the best in beauty to Austin with hair, skin and nail services to help you feel pampered and vacation-ready.

Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of California, Vince offers seasonal collections for women and men, as well as lifestyle essentials. Refined yet easy-to-wear clothing, shoes, accessories (even fragrances) find their way onto your must-have list. Same with the luxe doggie sweater.

Blue Nile

Diamonds, darling — need we say more? Yes, Blue Nile has lovely rings, necklaces, earrings and more. They also have Build Your Own earrings and necklaces; you choose the diamond(s) and style or setting, and they’ll ship it to your home for free.

Stuart Weitzman

A luxury brand for the shoe-obsessed. Sandals, heels, boots and bags, including Nudist sandals — inspired by Hollywood’s favorite sleek, minimalist silhouette.

Grab a pick-me-up artful espresso drink at Nordstrom’s Ebar before embarking on some serious retail therapy. Discover the season’s newest fashions and pick up some year-round staples, add a pair (or more) of snazzy shoes to your collection and enjoy these moments of friendship.

Neiman Marcus

The latest luxury styles from top designers for special, fun or fashionable finds. Schedule a stylist for a private shopping soirée (1 – 2 days’ notice). Personalized based on your lifestyle, designer preferences, leisure or business wardrobe wants and needs. Up the fun factor with bubbles, wine and pre- or post-makeovers. Your Archer decade hostess can arrange the details.

Happy Hour + Beyond

Crú Food & Wine Bar

Brunch or dinner, the real draw is authentic interior Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Happy hour is Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5 – 7 PM and Tuesdays 5 – 9:30 PM.

Blanton Museum of Art
