Dark Cherry Juice – 1 oz.
Tanqueray 10 – 1 oz.
Aperol – 3/4 oz
Burlesque Bitters – splash
Soda, to top it off
Brandied Cherry, to garnish
It’s important to give this cocktail a gentle roll, rather than a vigorous shake, so that is is blended well, but not watered down.
This cocktail packs a burst of cherry and some serious citrus into your evening, along with a cinnamon tickle (say that five times, fast) under the chin. The Tanqueray 10 adds a citrusy freshness, and the Aperol (an Italian aperitif) blends in a few drops of sophistication.
When at Bugatti Bar and Spyglass Rooftop Bar, ask your mixologist to show you the difference between shaking, stirring and rolling a cocktail. People may not like know-it-alls, but it sure is fun to be one.
