Spread Holiday Cheer for Next to Nothing

Small gestures mean a lot Personalized + Unexpected

A helping hand, a lift in spirits, a genuine smile, a thoughtful gift: Surprising and delighting is part of our ethos at Archer Hotel. Our mindful hosts are encouraged and celebrated for the creative ways they personalize the guest experience — all year long.

The Giving Drink Archer’s holiday spirit that keeps on giving

We love that in 2012, #GivingTuesday was created as “a day that encourages people to do good. … Every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.”

Joining in on this global generosity movement was (pun intended) a given. And with a spark of inspiration, The Giving Drink was born. Patrick Ocampo, lead bartender at AKB Tysons, created this festive cocktail. Available at every AKB (the casually hip hotel bar at Archer Hotel in Burlington, Falls Church, Florham Park, New York, Redmond and Tysons) November 15, 2022 – January 1, 2023, The Giving Drink is Archer’s holiday cocktail served with flamed rosemary sprigs and edible gold flakes — and $2 per drink will be donated to No Kid Hungry, an organization on a mission to help end childhood hunger in the United States.

We also took a poll to discover how some of Archer’s hosts spread cheer during the holiday season and beyond.

  • Donate gently used coats, clothes, toys and food to local organizations or drives.
  • Send funny or uplifting cards to a children’s hospital or nursing home.
  • In line or in traffic, let someone else go first.
