Marymoor Park
Marymoor Park — King County’s largest (640 acres) and oldest park has tons to do. Bring your pup to the 40-acre off-leash dog park, wander along the Bird Loop Trail in the 300-acre protected conservation area or explore the Clise Mansion and Willowmoor Farm.
Evans Creek Preserve
Evans Creek Preserve — Along with wildflower meadowlands, wetlands, forested uplands and a 3.5-mile pedestrian-only loop with some ADA-accessible trails, the 179-acre nature preserve is home to deer, black bears, hawks, birds and beavers.
Golden Gate Loop Hike
Golden Gate Loop Hike — The 4-mile loop in Mt. Rainier National Park is a great place to see the seasonal change of colors and is a great family destination.
North Cascades Scenic Highway
North Cascades Scenic Highway — Drive the 140-mile highway with many different spots to see along the way. It’s closed during winter, so this is the last chance to see the autumn beauty.
Kubota Garden
Kubota Garden — The 20-acre Japanese garden has 11 ponds, 2 red bridges, 140 maple varieties and 30 hydrangea varieties.
Bob's Corn & Pumpkin Farm
Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm — An amazing couples date or a family-fun event that includes a sunflower experience, apple cannon, huge corn maze and bonfires.
Remlinger Farms
Remlinger Farms — Take the family for an autumn escape and check out the farm stand, u-pick fields, amusement park for kids and fire pit rental. Then try their famous mini pies at the restaurant.
Chateau Ste. Michelle
Chateau Ste. Michelle — Savor Twilight Hours Friday and Saturday evenings with wine by the glass or bottle (no reservations needed) at one of the region’s favorite wineries. Or take the Grand Estate Tour (reservations suggested), which includes a tasting of four limited-release wines paired with a selection of small bites.
