Event Planners FAQ

A few helpful details to make planning seamless — from first inquiry to final toast.

Event Basics

No — we simply require a food and beverage minimum to reserve the space. Minimums vary based on the space and duration of your event.

Pre-ordering menu platters, packages and beverage selections (or hosting a bar on consumption) all count toward the minimum.

The difference will be charged to the credit card used for payment.

AKB welcomes guests of all ages. Spyglass Rooftop Bar is 21+. 

Food + Beverage

Our menus are served buffet and reception-style — perfect for mingling. Expect simple, classic options designed for sharing. All food is presented on stationary platters; we do not offer passed hors d’oeuvres.

No — all items are stationary.

Yes — our bar team loves to work with your inspiration and preferred ingredients to create custom cocktails.

Yes — we can accommodate a limited number of kosher or specialty meals. We are not able to provide full kosher events.

Yes — outside cakes are allowed. A $5++ per person cake-cutting fee applies.

No — outside food and beverage are not permitted.

No — we do not allow separate tabs. All charges must go on the event tab.

Atmosphere + Experience

No — we do not permit DJs in the space.

Yes — you may connect your own device, but it must remain plugged in and will not be accessible once the event begins.

We offer minimal AV: a wireless mic and speaker, and screens without audio.

Yes — with advance approval. Vendors may be required to sign a liability waiver.

Booking + Policies

A deposit is due five (5) business days prior to your event.
