Five Best NYC Desserts Near Archer Hotel New York

These delish bites are icing on the cake

Midtown Manhattan has so much to see, to do, to explore and to eat. And when it comes to desserts — much like most things you discover in New York City — you’ll find some of the freshest, most creative, most tantalizing indulgences around. Archer Hotel New York’s seriously fab concierge team offers the following suggestions for the six best NYC desserts near Archer Hotel New York. These sweet bites will quite literally make your mouth water.

01

Lady M Boutique

40th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues

The line out the door at almost any time of day is the first clue that Lady M Boutique satisfies sweetly. With its fresh, creative collection of cakes (think Green Tea Checkers, Banana Mille Feuille and Couronne du Chocolat), the shop developed a strong following. Individual nibbles, such as Very Berry Tartlets, Mini Choux and Raspberry Chocolate Bars, make it nearly impossible to just walk on by. The eclairs and strawberry shortcake are out of this world.

02

Maison Kayser

Broadway between 38th and 39th Streets

When nothing but an amazing dark chocolate mousse cake with a passion fruit center (the Adagio) that is the perfect fruit-to-chocolate ratio will do, head over to Maison Kayser. This authentic artisanal French boulangerie presents approximately 300 choices, including breads, viennoiserie (croissants, pains au chocolat, brioches, pains aux raisins, that sort of tastiness), pastries, baked goods, French bistro dishes and to-go items. Don’t forget the holiday desserts — gorgeous and delectable. An added bonus: In addition to the Broadway location, three Maison Kayser stores are within a quick walk from Archer: one on 40th Street just west of 5th Avenue, one at 36th Street and 5th Avenue, and one at Lexington and 41st Street.

03

Royce’

40th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues

Since 1895, Royce’ has been producing perfect chocolates. Customer favorites include Coffee Beans Chocolate, Prafeuille Chocolat Orange, Fruit Bar Chocolate and Chocolate Wafers “Maccha Cream.” Along with crunchy wafers, finger-licking-good truffes and a lovely collections of holiday offerings, it sells obsessive-worthy Potatochip Chocolate in three flavors: Caramel, Fromage Blanc and Mild Bitter.

04

Madman Espresso

35th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues

When you’re “tired of the coffee snobs,” Madman Espresso “made sophisticated coffees accessible to the common man” — ’nuf said. The espresso is "mad good," its hashtag is #lifeisbeautiful  and it serves up a really good raisin cheese Danish. Archer loves Madman’s vibe, offerings, farm-direct movement and service with a bigger smile.

05

MacarOn Café

36th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue

Looking for a colorful array of the best melt-in-your-mouth macarons around? You have quite the selection in front of you at MacarOn Café. Just to tempt you: White Chocolate Peppermint, Chocolate Raspberry, Coconut, Earl Grey, Jasmine, Lavender Honey, Rose Lychee, Nutella, Pumpkin Cinnamon, Champagne Rose, Strawberry Smoothie and Wedding Almond. As if that’s not enough, you can grab a yummy breakfast and lunch option, plus specials and sandwiches of the week.
