Friday
3 PM — CHECK IN TO ARCHER
5 PM — GET YOUR TICKETS
Getting day-of Broadway tickets can seem daunting, but our trusted team can easily help. Using a broker, they can assist you in purchasing tickets to any number of Broadway shows. This requires a payment to the broker.
Or you can roll the dice with the TKTS Booth, which offers same-day tickets for half the normal price. You’ll have to wait in line, and the show selection can be limited but, depending on your preference, the deep discounts can be worth it.
6 PM — Pre-theatre Dinner
Pure Thai is Hell's Kitchen's go-to restaurant for homemade noodles and authentic family recipes. Share the mixed appetizers and go for the Pad See Ew.
For a mainstay pre- or post-theatre experience, head to Joe Allen for casual fare. The menu changes daily but their local-favorite burger is always a winner.
For a little more adventure, take a trip to Havana. This local favorite will transport you to Cuba with its homemade local flavors.
8 PM — Broadway
No trip to NYC is complete without a stop to see a live show.
What's currently playing? Check it out here.
11 PM — The City That Never Sleeps, Even If You Decide To
Spyglass Rooftop Bar offers a convenient place to cap off your first night in the big city. High atop Archer, this buzzy bar offers panoramic views of the Empire State Building and serves signature cocktails and shareable bites in style.
A few blocks down the street you’ll get a truly Fine & Rare experience. This speakeasy-esque drinking lounge offers live entertainment and a wide array of vintage and rare liquors. Come for a cocktail “that begins with your eyes, develops on your nose and ends on your palate.”
Saturday
9 AM — But First, Coffee
Start your day fresh with Culture Espresso. Its economically sourced coffee and espresso is just the jolt you need to kick off your day. If you’re hungry, you can grab a nibble from one of the many pastries, breads and doughnuts that local shops drop off every morning. Or indulge in its ever-delicious chocolate chip cookies (yes, even at 9 AM).
For a more authentic experience, you can meander to Best Bagel. This shop serves up the quintessential New York bagel — a chewy, slightly crisp exterior and a fluffy, soft interior. Never toasted. Served with a schmear of cream cheese in a variety of savory flavors.
10 AM — The High Line
11 AM — Breakfast, Whenever You're Ready
Grab an early lunch or brunch at Bubby’s. Serving such all-American classics as pancakes, club sandwiches and burgers, this breakfast-all-day diner has been open nonstop since 1990.
After a hearty meal, roam one of New York’s transformed spaces: the Meatpacking District. The industries have changed but the façade remains. Stroll the cobblestone streets and take in the transformed factories that now house restaurants, bars and shopping.
2 PM — On Top of the World
For an unforgettable view, head over to One World Observatory. A ticket gets you access to a museum-like experience, a unique elevator ride and the best views in the city.
The Empire State Building, midtown and the Brooklyn Bridge are just some of the stunning views you can expect. If you aren’t interested in the Observatory (or have been before), visit the 9/11 Memorial — a somber but meaningful experience.
Or shop 'til you drop at Westfield World Trade. While roaming the high-end stores, you’ll get to experience the now-iconic oculus perched above the mall.
8 PM — Dine on New York's Best
Robert De Niro’s popular Tribeca Grill serves up American cuisine in a beautiful warehouse that's been turned into fine dining restaurant. The fan-favorite is the buffalo mozzarella arugula salad, but the seared diver scallops with roasted apple and fennel come in close second.
For a more casual, walk-in setting, head to Marea for simple yet amazing seafood. Side note: The handmade pasta is to die for.
Authentic Jamaican food dances out of the colorful diner, Miss Lily’s. Serving soulful dishes with an upbeat ambiance, prepare to leave with a smile.
For a little New York swank, nothing beats Beauty and Essex. This happenin’ restaurant with a pawn shop façade serves sexy, small plates for sharing (and even champagne in the ladies' room).
For 20 years, the classic spot Da Umberto has been bringing the laid-back atmosphere of Tuscany to the Big Apple — you can taste the patience and all the Italian tradition.
10 PM — Drink Like a King, With a King
Famous for its eponymous mural painted by Maxfield Parrish and its storied history in New York, The King Cole Bar is drinking royalty. The massive mural dominates the space but isn’t the only sign of Old World charm. The bar’s grand display of spirits, small wooden tables and grandiose chandeliers add to the air of sophistication. The elegance is mirrored in the fine dining and inventive cocktail menu.
New York City is full of great hotel bars.
